Retail Sales Associate – Part Time – 0498 at First Cash

Hourly rate: $12.50 to $15.50 per hour. Earn additional commission of up to 8% on transactions (average $1.00 per hour on top of your hourly rate). Commission structure pays you for each transaction processed.

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time retail sales associates for pawn shop locations nationwide. The associate works with the entire store staff to provide customer service for both lending and retail operations. Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing sales and loan transactions, maintaining the sales floor, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Greets and engages customers, building rapport and recommending appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs open/close procedures and maintains a clean, well–stocked sales floor.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulations.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items responsibly.
• Answers incoming calls according to company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborates with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes all assigned training requirements.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

• Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to perform duties that involve standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with customers, be team‑oriented, and handle fast‑paced environments.
• Basic math proficiency and preferred cash handling experience.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office equipment.
• Flexibility to work multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.

• Flexible working hours: most stores open 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, many closed Sundays.

Commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers may earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Commission details are provided during the interview process.

All employees must agree to a binding arbitration agreement. Pay rates comply with local minimum wage requirements. The company reserves the right to reassign duties and adjust responsibilities as needed.
