• Hospice Registered Nurses provide professional nursing care for terminally ill patients to maintain their comfort and quality of life. A hospice nurse serves as a case manager and advocate for their patients and primary caregivers. This includes: keen observation skills, high ethical standards, critical thinking skills, compassion, attention to detail, organizational skills, calm under pressure, patience, and compassionate communication skills.

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, AD, BSN, MSN)
• 1 year previous experience
• Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR
• Current Driver’s License

• Ability to carry out obligations and duties of position
• Accountable for regulatory requirements, function and duties of the Hospice Registered Nurse
• Deals effectively with community/consumers
• Demonstrated advocate of quality and cost effective care
• Understand the physical, psychosocial and spiritual concerns/problems of terminally ill patients and families
• Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and performance improvement activities
• Compose applicable policies and procedures
• Audit, monitor, and retrieve data
• Proven written and editing skills
• Requires ability to handle confidential information
• Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills
• Designated Driver
