Nurse Tech position provides nursing students opportunity to assist licensed nursing personnel in day-to-day patient care and routine operations of the nursing unit. The Nurse Tech provides care to the patients appropriate to the assigned unit.

- Labor and Delivery
- Pediatrics
- Infant bathing
- Infant hearing screens
- Newborn Screening Collection
- Transcutaneous Bilimeter Checks
- Critical Congenital Heart Defect Screening
- Placing Infant Skin to Skin
- Glucose Monitoring for Infants
- Cord Care
- Circumcision care- without the education portion to parents
- Postpartum Perineal Care
- Postpartum fundal checks
- CPR: BLS certification through the AHA
- Must be a nursing student entering 2nd through 4th semester of nursing school
- No previous work experience required
