Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with craniotomy and burr hole experience for a day shift assignment with possible call requirements.
Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital main Operating Room environment

• Surgical cases include neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and general/robotics/trauma

• Work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 4x10 hour day shifts from 10:30 to 21:00

• Possible late days and call requirements as needed

• Charting is done using Altera; prior experience preferred but not required

• Responsibilities include circulating and assisting in advanced surgical cases such as neuro and trauma

• Must provide two references from supervisors within the last 3 years of employment

• Modules are required during orientation and take approximately 6-8 hours to complete

• Lab work completion is required within 72 hours of accepting an offer or an approved plan must be in place

• Not accepting local candidates within a 150-mile radius
Requirements

• Active RN license required

• At least 2 years of Operating Room experience in the service line

• Craniotomy and burr hole procedure experience required

• Certifications must be current and verifiable

• Candidates must live more than 150 miles from the facility to be eligible as travelers

• Travel nursing experience preferred

• Modules and labs must be completed within specified time frames

• Previous permanent staff must have a break in employment of at least 1 year to return as a traveler
