Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with call required

• Facility may consider 4x10 hour shifts

• Patient ratio of 5 patients during day shifts

• 2 years of experience in operating room required

• Must live 150 miles or more from facility

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS

• Charting system experience required (Altera experience preferred but not required)

• Travel experience preferred

• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients

• Perform various surgical procedures including lobe resection, lung resection, thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repairs, laparoscopic procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reductions, laminectomy, spinal fusion, joint replacements, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, and prostatectomy

• Handle fire safety, cell saver operations, blood product administration, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, universal protocol procedures, and wound management

• Complete mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing

• Must complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer

• Complete 6-8 hours of non-billable modules during orientation

• Hard document deadline:
Thursday 2pm CST prior to start date
