Responsibilities
- Provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients using the nursing process.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and outcomes.
- Interacts effectively with patients and their significant others while maintaining professional nursing standards.
- Telemetry responsibilities include connecting patients to monitoring machines, reading ECG/heart rate data, and interpreting results to guide patient care.
- Participates in committee activities, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Upholds standards outlined in the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Diploma or AD). - Experience:
No previous experience required. - Licenses/
Certifications: - Registered Nurse (RN) license
- CPR/BLS
- ACLS (required before completion of orientation)
- NIH Stroke Scale (required before completion of orientation)
- Skills & Abilities:
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
