Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct, individualized nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice. RNs collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure effective care delivery and the achievement of positive patient outcomes. They serve as advocates for patients and their families while upholding professional nursing standards.
Additional Responsibilities: RNs on the A4 Medical-Surgical unit must be proficient in managing a broad spectrum of medical conditions and committed to maintaining a high standard of care. They are expected to actively participate in hospital initiatives, committees, and quality improvement efforts, and to remain compliant with the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma or Associate Degree required)
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Texas
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to input and manage data in computer systems
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment
