Come grow with us! Broadwind Heavy Fabrications has several opportunities to join our team in Abilene, TX as a Welder! We offer a variety of multi-step weld positions across multiple shifts! Our Welders fabricate and weld steel structures and components to customer specifications utilizing applicable WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) and work instructions. Grinding is part of the weld process for certain positions.

Ability to read blue prints is critical! Currently, we have positions open on B & C-Shift.

B-Shift: 6 pm to 6 am Monday through Thursday ($2.00/hr Shift Diff) (Built-in overtime)

C-Shift: 6 am to 6 pm Friday through Sunday ($4.50/hr Shift Diff) with opportunity for OT on A-Shift (days Mon through Fri)

Academic/Experience/Credentials/Certifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of welding experience or, completion of a welder's training program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Overhead crane experience after certification (can be completed after hire).
• Candidate must be able to pass a Jaeger J2 vision test.
• Must be able to pass new hire drug tests as well as periodic random drug screens.

Specialized Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

• Must be able to complete and pass weld qualification test(s).
• Able to read and follow all weld training and certification information.
