IT Audit Manager (VP, Technology & Operations Audit Manager)

MMC Group is hiring for a VP, Technology & Operations Audit Manager for our client in Abilene, TX.

Our client is a regulated financial services organization seeking an experienced audit leader to oversee technology, information security, operations, payments, and enterprise risk audits. This is a high‑impact role responsible for leading a risk‑based internal audit program, managing audit teams and co‑sourced partners, and partnering closely with executive leadership and regulators.

• Lead and evolve the technology, information security, operations, payments, and enterprise risk audit programs
• Plan and execute risk‑based audits and oversee audit quality, documentation, and reporting
• Supervise internal audit staff and manage co‑sourced and outsourced audit engagements
• Review audit work papers, issue ratings, and remediation plans
• Partner with technology, operations, and risk leaders to identify control gaps and emerging risks
• Serve as a key point of contact for regulators and external auditors
• Monitor remediation efforts and validate corrective actions
• Assess cybersecurity controls, IT general controls, SOX‑related controls, and major technology initiatives
• Leverage data analytics and modern audit techniques where appropriate

• 6+ years of progressive experience in IT, technology, operations, or risk auditing within a regulated financial institution (Banking) or large public accounting firm
• Strong experience with IT General Controls, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems
• Background auditing technology, payments, operations, and information security environments
• Experience managing audit teams and co‑sourced audit partners
• Professional certification required (CIA, CISA, CISSP, or CISM)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior leadership and regulators
