Job Summary
  • Bachelors-prepared registered nurse responsible for obtaining and maintaining accreditation/recognition for Hendrick Medical Center’s education programs, including Continuing Medical Education (CME), Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) and other healthcare professionals’ programs.
  • Responsibilities include developing, presenting, and coordinating educational activities; adhering to governing agencies’ guidelines and mandates; acting as a resource and liaison to the community, medical staff, nursing units, and ancillary departments at HMC.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Education
    • Bachelors in the Science of Nursing (BSN) with specialty certification or Masters in the Science of Nursing (MSN)
  • Minimum Work Experience
    • 2 years of clinical experience
  • Required Licenses/Certifications
    • Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Texas
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider
    • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor within 6 months of hire to department
    • If BSN, specialty certification required
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
    • Commitment to continuing education as a methodology for promoting continuous quality improvement in patient care and services.
    • Develops continuing educational activities in a professional manner following governing agencies’ criteria with a foundation on current standards of care and adult learning principles.
    • Organizes and completes educational records according to facility and governing agency requirements.
    • Functions effectively as a team member within the department and throughout the facility.
