Job SummaryRegistered Nurses deliver care to patients using the nursing process. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses interact with patients and loved ones while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. They provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on scientific nursing principles, and are well‑versed in a wide variety of health conditions.
Registered Nurses participate in committee activities, surveys, and improvement initiatives, and uphold the Texas Nurse Practice Act. Intermediate Care Nurses care for acutely ill patients that require frequent assessments and monitoring of specialized equipment. IMCU nurses read and interpret data to determine the best patient care.
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
- No previous experience
- Registered Nurse
- CPR-BCLS (required before completion of orientation)
- ACLS (required before completion of orientation)
- NIH Stroke Scale (required before completion of orientation)
- Input data into computer programs.
- Ability to work with therapeutic equipment.
- Maintain professional appearance at all times.
- Knowledge of the nursing process and ability to deliver patient care based on standards of care.
