Position Summary and Job Responsibilities
Position Summary
The B-1 System Analyst is a highly motivated, self-driven team player that has the ability to perform in a dynamic environment. A B-1 System Analyst will provide support for the B-1 Training System, focusing primarily on the B-1 Maintenance Training System (MTS). The System Analyst is primarily responsible for defining requirements for AF1067s assigned to the B-1 Training System Support Center (TSSC), for ensuring the requirements are still valid and are addressed at each phase of the AF1067 life cycle, and for testing that each requirement has been met.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop thorough, clear, and concise requirements and document them in the respective project folder.
- Participate in design peer reviews to ensure compliance with approved requirements.
- Fully document all aspects of project to include requirements, design data, test plan and procedures, test results, and problem reports.
- Review specifications, design, test plans and test procedures for technical content and for compliance with allocated requirements.
- Prepare/update test plans and procedures, support system tests and review test result data.
- Thoroughly evaluate the AF1067 project description, clarifying and refining scope and documenting current functionality and any related pre-existing conditions in the corresponding project folder.
- Support development engineers as needed to demonstrate current system functionality, limitations and desired project results.
- Serve as the Technical Order Distribution Officer (TODO) for the B-1 TSSC.
- Analyze Technical Order updates for impacts to the MTS and accomplish MTS exercise concurrency updates as required.
- Support the Training System Configuration Working Group as required.
- Perform integration testing of all AF1067 projects included in a software release.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in B-1 training and/or test preferred
- BS in a technical or engineering field of study or 10 years B-1 Training System experience
- Familiarity with the B-1 Training System
- Must be able to establish and maintain multiple priorities
- Established ability to learn and contribute quickly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple constituencies requiring attention
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance required
