Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Abilene, TX, for an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. The primary responsibilities include assisting the head coach in leading the women’s soccer program, planning and conducting practices, developing game strategies, and mentoring student-athletes. Additional duties encompass recruiting talented players, promoting academic success, ensuring compliance with university and NCAA regulations, and supporting other assigned tasks to contribute to the team’s overall success.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in soccer coaching and coaching methodologies to train and develop players effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with players, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge or background in football and related sports strategies to enhance team performance.
- Educational background or relevant teaching experience that contributes to mentoring student-athletes.
- Commitment to fostering student-athlete development, academic success, and sportsmanship.
- Familiarity with NCAA regulations is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Previous coaching experience, especially in collegiate-level soccer, is strongly preferred.
