Advance Practice Practitioners; ACNP​/PA

Pittsburgh Critical Care Associates (PCCA) is a private practice intensivist group is hiring Advance Practice Practitioners (ACNP / PA) to work as intensivists at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. Hendrick Medical Center is a 340-bed Regional Medical Center and Level III Trauma Center:

• 24-bed mixed ICU with Medical / Surgical / Trauma patients
• Physician Intensivists coverage during the day 7a - 7pm, swing 11am - 11pm
• APP coverage 7-on 7-off rotation with days / nights.
• All shifts are double coverage with another APP and/or physician
• PCCA supports the refined multidisciplinary MD/APP intensivist team model of care to provide expanded critical care services.
• 1-2 years of acute care experience is recommended but not required.
• There is a 3-6 month onboarding process for training in medical treatment and procedures including:
  • Central line, arterial catheters, intubation, chest tube placement, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, bronchoscopy
• Benefits including:

• Required to be license Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant in the State of Texas.
