About the Position

The National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a part‑time role in Abilene, TX. The position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, and flexibility with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities & Scope of Practice

• Provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states.
• Deliver modern wound management at the bedside in post‑acute care settings (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long‑Term Acute Care Hospitals).
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Visit 2‑3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20‑30 patients per day.
• Document clinical care in real‑time using proprietary wound‑specific EMR.

Practice Overview

• Full‑time work:
  Monday–Friday, 7 AM–4 PM or part‑time available.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week (part‑time); full‑time requires 4‑5 days per week.
• Mobile practice: visits within a 40‑60 mile radius of the practice location.
• W2 employment contract; no work‑visa sponsorship.
• Paid training during onboarding and a 6‑month wound‑care fellowship.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Texas.
• Minimum of 3 weekdays per week availability.

Compensation

Salary range: $20,971.00–$25,432.58 per year (approximate).
