ER PHYSICIAN - EXPRESS ER ABILENE - $300+/hr
Join Altus Community Healthcare as an ER physician. Altus Community Healthcare includes 35 facilities across Texas. This role provides high‑quality, efficient and cost‑effective emergency medical care.
Location:
4157 Buffalo Gap Rd., Abilene, TX 79605.
Job Type:
- Full Time Physician – 144 hours/month
- Part Time Physician – 72 hours/month
- PRN Physician – 24 hours/month

- Immediate evaluation and diagnosis of patients upon arrival.
- Administer urgent treatments and perform necessary procedures.
- Stabilize patients before further treatment or transfer.
- Collaborate with nurses, paramedics, specialists and other healthcare professionals.
- Interpret diagnostic tests.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families about diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment plans.
- Document and maintain detailed patient records.
- Stay updated with advancements in emergency medicine and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Quality KPIs: focus on patient experience and clinical outcomes.
- Throughput KPIs: evaluate operational efficiency of patient flow.
- Citizenship KPI: reward contributions that enhance team dynamics and workplace morale.
- Completed residency in any specialty.
- At least 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience or EM residency.
- Active Texas state licensure.
- Current PALS/ACLS/ATLS certifications (BLS preferred).
- Experience in a free‑standing emergency department or urgent care setting (preferred).
- Experience managing multiple clinical sites and leading cross‑functional teams.
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Deep knowledge of current medical practices, procedures and equipment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work quickly in a high‑stress environment.
- Internal medicine, family medicine or EM backgrounds preferred.
