ER PHYSICIAN - EXPRESS ER ABILENE - $300+/hr

Join Altus Community Healthcare as an ER physician. Altus Community Healthcare includes 35 facilities across Texas. This role provides high‑quality, efficient and cost‑effective emergency medical care.

Job Type:

• Full Time Physician – 144 hours/month
• Part Time Physician – 72 hours/month
• PRN Physician – 24 hours/month

• Immediate evaluation and diagnosis of patients upon arrival.
• Administer urgent treatments and perform necessary procedures.
• Stabilize patients before further treatment or transfer.
• Collaborate with nurses, paramedics, specialists and other healthcare professionals.
• Interpret diagnostic tests.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families about diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment plans.
• Document and maintain detailed patient records.
• Stay updated with advancements in emergency medicine and participate in ongoing professional development.

• Quality KPIs: focus on patient experience and clinical outcomes.
• Throughput KPIs: evaluate operational efficiency of patient flow.
• Citizenship KPI: reward contributions that enhance team dynamics and workplace morale.

• Completed residency in any specialty.
• At least 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience or EM residency.
• Active Texas state licensure.
• Current PALS/ACLS/ATLS certifications (BLS preferred).
• Experience in a free‑standing emergency department or urgent care setting (preferred).
• Experience managing multiple clinical sites and leading cross‑functional teams.
• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Deep knowledge of current medical practices, procedures and equipment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work quickly in a high‑stress environment.
• Internal medicine, family medicine or EM backgrounds preferred.
