-Onsite (Abilene, TX) with some remote work options as projects allow

This position will provide owner’s representation / construction management of large scale base-building data center construction projects ($300M+).

What To Expect in this Job Position?
  • Various Project Management / Owner’s Representation duties that will be catered to the client and their tenant’s project needs.
  • Onsite, construction management to drive the on-time delivery and schedule of the project.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risk for our clients and work directly with the Himes’ and client teams.
  • Provide oversight of equipment specification, pricing, and procurement
  • Provide daily management of many aspects of engineering design and construction.
  • Support the design and construction team to ensure that all owner objectives are met including those relating to quality, schedule and budget.
  • Acting as Owner’s Representative, as liaison with the project team for construction documents, submittals, RFI's, change orders, and meeting minutes.
  • Represent owner project-related meetings.
  • Assist in providing engineering design and construction-related cost and budget control.
  • Maintain records of project-related communications.
  • This includes being a member of the project team for management of the design and construction teams, as well as communication and coordination with cross-functional, internal project teams. A critical aspect of this position is to minimize the client’s risk. This is accomplished through leadership and managing consistent processes, maintaining thorough records, minimizing disruptions to work processes, and monitoring for errors and omissions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree, preferably in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil), construction management, or related architectural degree.
  • 5+ years of experience with design and/or construction of large-scale base building projects (in any of these sectors: commercial, industrial, hospital, data center, etc).
  • Must have strong base-building construction experience.
  • Demonstrated record of leadership and achievement delivering projects on time and on budget and meeting other project objectives.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
Preferences, but not required
  • 3+ years working in a data center or similar mission-critical environment (either live or under construction).
  • Data center base building experience a huge plus.
