Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Site-Based Cleaning Operative to join our team at Aberystwyth Probation Office, 23 Grays Inn Road, Aberystwyth, Dyfed, Wales, SY23 1QE
. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the residents and staff. Approved Premises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community. This role will give you insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work that supports positive change.

• Focus on the details and complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks.
• Periodic deep cleaning of certain areas, instructed by supervisor.
• Ensure all areas, including kitchens, toilets and communal areas, are cleaned and presentable.
• Replenish stock and consumables such as toilet tissue and hand soaps.
• Work closely with the security team, reporting any faults or hazards, and help maintain the cleanliness of their areas.
• Maintain an approachable attitude.

• Previous experience in a similar role with knowledge of cleaning solutions is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and adapt to change when needed.
