We are supporting a well-established educational institution with their recruitment of a Senior Finance Business Partner. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in managing the financial performance of multiple subsidiaries, providing expert financial insights, and supporting strategic decision-making that shapes the future of the organisation's business ventures.

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your management accounting expertise in a collaborative environment, working closely with operational leaders and senior management. Your work will directly influence the financial health and growth of the subsidiaries-spanning science, innovation, and services-while contributing to impactful projects and ongoing financial improvements.

• Proven experience in management accounting, including budget setting, forecasting, variance analysis, and project reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and analytical tools, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Knowledge of accounting software packages and financial control within project-based environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to think strategically and consider the broader impact of financial decisions.
• Relevant experience in charitable organizations or with charity SORP standards.

• Knowledge of cost accounting, job costing, or WIP and project monitoring.
• Experience with managing finances for research grants, donations, or similar funding streams.
• Welsh language skills.
• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CCAB qualification or part-qualified status) and ongoing professional development.

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant with a solid background in management or financial accounting.
• Previous experience preparing consolidated management accounts and working within a multi-subsidiary structure.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience motivating teams and driving service excellence.
