The district nursing service is fundamental in the delivery of the health boards' clinical futures model in providing care closer to home enabling early discharge and preventing hospital admissions.
We deliver holistic care to patients within their own homes and residential homes which meets the increasing complexities in health of our patient population. Assessment, planning and delivering high standards of care are achieved through effective collaboration and partnership working.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 6 months from the start date to meet the needs of the service. If you are interested in applying for the secondmentposition, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.
Main duties of the jobTo care for patients and their families within their own homes is a privilege and the Abertillery district nursing team have an exciting opportunity for a community staff nurse to join 24/7 service and for them to supportive, dedicated and forward-thinking team. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical and interpersonal skills with continuing professional development opportunities to prepare you with the skills to meet the evolving autonomous role of the community nurse through engagement of a robust induction programme.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;
