Overview
An Early Years Support Worker is needed to act as a member of the Early Learning and Childcare Team, with involvement in the work of the Early Level curriculum, and where appropriate, the pre-Birth to Three Framework whilst under supervision from the Early Years Senior Practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Provide general support in relation to the needs of individuals' care, health and wellbeing and safety and ensure a secure and safe environment for all children (including children with Additional Support Needs).
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
- Be based at Banchory Primary Nursery initially, with potential to work elsewhere within the Banchory CSN as required.
- Be employed on a 52.18 weeks per year contract.
- Assist with the work of the Early Learning and Childcare Team and contribute to the Early Level curriculum and, where appropriate, the pre-Birth to Three Framework under supervision.

- There are 2 positions available.
- Fixed term for a period not exceeding 31/12/2027.
- This is a Children s Service Network (CSN) post.
- The successful candidate will be employed on a 52.18 weeks per year contract and may be required to work elsewhere within the Banchory CSN.

Requirements
- This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outwith the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory. - This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of which must be your current or most recent employer.
- This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.
