Medical Assistant — Corrections (3 Openings)

Aberdeen, WA | $30/hr | 13-Week Contract with Possibility to Extend**

We’re seeking three qualified Medical Assistants to support a correctional facility in Aberdeen, WA. This environment functions very similarly to a primary care or urgent care clinic. Corrections experience is not required. Providers and nursing staff are supportive, and MAs are typically paired with one or two clinicians.

• 2 openings:
  Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• 1 opening:
  Tuesday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM

13-week contract with potential to extend

Primary care/urgent care–style workflow

Duties may include basic clinical support, rooming, vitals, assisting providers, and phlebotomy

Fast-paced but structured environment

Start date approximately 2–3 weeks after onboarding and clearance

• Active Washington State Medical Assistant Certificate (required)
• BLS (AHA)
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen
• Recent physical
• Recent negative TB test
• Prior corrections experience not required

• Provide clinical support to providers during patient encounters
• Perform vitals, patient intake, documentation, and basic clinical tasks
• Support minor procedures and wound care when needed
• Conduct phlebotomy as required
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Ensure compliance with facility and safety protocols

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant responsible for performing duties under the direction of a physician to assist in the examination and treatment of patients.

• High School diploma or its equivalent
• Good telephone communication skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of medical procedures
• Knowledge of clerical functions
• Current CPR card (if applicable)
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (if applicable)
• Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification preferred
• Minimum of one year relevant experience preferred.
• Relevant certification/ license if applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
