Purpose
NEW - The role of a personal trainer at Aberdeen Sports Village is to coach clients (on a one-to-one and small group basis) towards their health and fitness goals through the planning and delivery of creative and personalised exercise programmes and instructions, nutritional advice and overall lifestyle management

- Deliver 1 to 1 personal training and small group training, where appropriate and generate personal training revenue in line with budgets and set targets each month.
- Analysis of clients needs, adapt and modify guidance to motivate clients to positively change their behaviour and improve overall wellbeing by providing tailored advice.
- Support safe and enjoyable use of the fitness facility environment through carrying out inductions for new users to the facility, ensuring customers can use the equipment and associated management systems.
- Provide a high standard, client focused service through excellence in the fitness environment and application of best practice.
- An understanding of business, finance, sales and marketing is also essential to enable the personal trainer to build and retain our customers.
- Complete health assessments and fitness testing for all types of customers where appropriate via the appropriate channels.
- Maintain and develop key partnerships with the stakeholders and other key players such as schools, clubs and sports teams in the Health and Fitness setting.
- Ensuring customer engagement is at the forefront of what they do by contacting high risk customers and maintaining a positive & friendly interaction with every gym user. i.e. new joiners.
- Actively seek and encourage customer feedback in line with company focus in adherence to KPI’s and inform management via the relevant channels.
- Develop and maintain a high level of industry knowledge through regular CPD on a quarterly & yearly basis to keep up with industry standard of delivery achieving CIMSPA recommendations.
- Ensure qualifications are kept valid including First Aid & CPR requirements.
- Become visual as a “brand ambassador” and represent Aberdeen Sports Village via outreach and networking opportunities where required.
- Achieve and deliver set KPI’s allocated monthly in line with company standards directed from management.
- Perform the core duties of a Personal Trainer, as required, and any other duties as reasonably requested by your line manager.
