About the role

As a Home Delivery Driver, you’ll provide an industry‑leading fast‑track service that brings Argos products to customers’ doors.

Eligibility
  • Must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it.
  • Must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
  • Will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of the interview; if successful, a driving assessment will be required upon joining.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts across the week and three shift blocks during the day:
    Monday to Sunday 5:00 am‑1:00 pm, 1:00 pm‑6:00 pm, 6:00 pm‑10:30 pm. Hours will be scheduled to fit around availability and may vary week to week. Opportunities for overtime, including supporting nearby Sainsbury’s, may also be available.
What you’ll be doing
  • Drive a 3.5‑tonne van to deliver a variety of products to customers’ doorsteps, on time and in great condition.
  • Complete checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before driving in varied locations and conditions.
  • Serve customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and keeping them aware of any delays.
  • Comfortable learning and using new technology to perform the job efficiently.
  • Assist with maintaining a slick operation in the stock room or on the shop floor when not on the road.
  • Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to provide recommendations.
