Delivery Driver - Argos

About the role

As one of the leading UK digital retailers, Argos provides our customers with outstanding convenience, choice and value across a vast range of products for the moments that matter. As a Home Delivery Driver, you’ll provide an industry‑leading fast‑track service that brings Argos products to customers’ doors.

• Must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it.
• Must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
• Will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of the interview; if successful, a driving assessment will be required upon joining.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts across the week and three shift blocks during the day:
  Monday to Sunday 5:00 am‑1:00 pm, 1:00 pm‑6:00 pm, 6:00 pm‑10:30 pm. Hours will be scheduled to fit around availability and may vary week to week. Opportunities for overtime, including supporting nearby Sainsbury’s, may also be available.

• Drive a 3.5‑tonne van to deliver a variety of products to customers’ doorsteps, on time and in great condition.
• Complete checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before driving in varied locations and conditions.
• Serve customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and keeping them aware of any delays.
• Comfortable learning and using new technology to perform the job efficiently.
• Assist with maintaining a slick operation in the stock room or on the shop floor when not on the road.
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to provide recommendations.

• Friendly and professional with genuine enthusiasm for helping customers and providing the best doorstep experience.
• Proficient at driving a large vehicle in diverse locations, delivering to a variety of residential properties.
• Happy working in a fast‑paced, physical and high‑energy environment, using initiative to solve problems and thriving as part of a team.
• Ready to work flexibly and productively to a high standard across the store when needed, fully trained in a variety of skills and open to learning and developing.
• Embraces using new digital tools and technology to do the job brilliantly.
