Operations Engineer
Despatch Supervisor will report to the Head of Supply Chain and will also have “dotted line” responsibility to the other OMT members. Duties will primarily include liaising with Project Managers and Logistics Manager to effectively plan the despatch of goods to the client, In addition, the role will require effective management stocked items for Production and any other tasks as directed by the Head of Supply Chain.
Whatyou'll be doing
- Effective planning of items for despatch to the clients to ensure internal customer demands are achieved.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, Production Scheduler and Workshop manager to ensure adherence to any production plans by ensuring material is available when required.
- Effective and timely picking of material to ensure no downtime in Production.
- Packing of all goods for transport onward, loading finished product onto organised transport.
- Creation and maintenance of goods inwards statistics / reports as directed by the company.
- Creation of raw material locations, clear identification of goods and maintenance of agreed stock levels.
- Participate in completing stock take (monthly, quarterly), recording the data and presenting to line Manager for further discussion.
- Effective management of any direct reports, ensuring all stores, packing and despatch related tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Liaison with all other departments to ensure delivery schedule adherence is achieved.
- Strive towards continual improvement in regard to despatch and warehouse performance.
- Management of adherence to company procedures, with particular emphasis in regard to the company health & safety policies.
- No formal qualification is required, as skills required can be learned in-house, although recognised industry training and relevant experience in similar role will be advantageous.
