The Role:The Operations Manager – CFE is responsible for the operational service delivery of all James Fisher Offshores CFE activities globally with delegated reports in each region. They will ensure projects are delivered in a safe, efficient, and effective manner, whilst helping drive JF Decom business objectives. The Operations Manager will establish and maintain an integrated and efficient function between operations & project functions worldwide.
The role has responsibility for all onshore & offshore personnel when allocated to CFE projects both onshore and offshore. This role requires a degree of flexibility, including the provision of operational support outside normal working hours to ensure continuity of service and effective incident response.
Principle Accountabilities:Ensure Operational Efficiency and Compliance
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Provide operations information and recommendations for strategic plans.
- Implement and review operational policies and procedures.
- Support Plan, schedule, and coordinate all operational aspects in support of project.
- Conduct pre‑mobilisation briefs and complete necessary documentation.
- Ensure safe delivery of all scopes according to the Integrated Management System.
- Optimise and utilise assets effectively.
- Manage asset lifecycle costings.
- Conduct capex and opex appraisals.
- Measure and report on asset utilisation.
- Ensure timely mobilisation and delivery of equipment.
- Analyse and manage inventory effectively.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets.
- Schedule expenditures and analyse variances.
- Meet or exceed labour budget expectations.
- Review and approve operational purchase orders.
- Identify potential acquisitions and manage asset transactions.
- Set job expectations and review performance.
- Recruit, train, and manage employees.
- Maintain lean operational staff levels while planning for growth.
- Manage direct reports and offshore teams during service delivery.
- Develop customer relations and additional revenue streams.
- Implement policies and procedures in collaboration with management.
- Measure, monitor, and forecast workshop labour capacity.
- Ensure excellent service delivery.
- Develop an integrated approach to client service.
- Maintain relationships with internal service functions.
- Participate in meetings to support project delivery and business development.
Set competency standards for CFE services.
In addition:
Deputise for the Head of Projects and Operations as and when required. To build an effective operational delivery team that focusses on service quality through equipment preparation and maintenance standards through to the offshore execution.
You will need experience in Controlled Flow Excavation (CFE) capacity and subsea tooling from offshore vessels. Able to demonstrate offshore and workshop experience in a subsea services environment. Demonstrable experience within a supervisory capacity.
