Overview

TEXO Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting an experience Workshop Foreman on behalf of our external client, for work in Aberdeen.

This is a full-time, permanent role where the suitable candidate will be required to be a hands on leader responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, quality, compliance and safe operations.

Reporting to the Equipment Rebuild Manager, the Workshop Foreman is responsible for coordinating internal and external resources, organising day to day workshop activities, and ensuring the efficient execution of equipment rebuilds.

The role requires strong technical oversight, leadership, and strict adherence to our clients management system, safety standards, and quality procedures.

You will work closely with internal customers and cross functional teams to maintain workflow, support equipment reliability objectives, and ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance and rebuild activities.

Role Responsibilities
  • Lead, organise, and coordinate internal staff and external contractors involved in equipment rebuilds.
  • Ensure efficient utilisation of personnel, tooling, and workshop resources to meet throughput and reliability targets.
  • Maintain full compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and escalate training, quality, or safety gaps to the Equipment Rebuild Manager.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and functional groups to support effective planning and communication.
  • Ensure accurate input and maintenance of data within maintenance record systems.
  • When required, perform maintenance, inspection, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of equipment, including:
  • High pressure and centrifugal pumps
  • Air compressors
  • Microprocessor controls and electro mechanical systems
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Gearboxes, PTOs, and generators
  • Chemical metering systems
  • 12/24V electrical systems
  • Equipment cabins, controls, and general oilfield equipment
  • Lead toolbox talks and ensure all workshop activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with procedures.
Education & Experience
  • 3–5+ years’ experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance operations (required).
  • 1–3+ years’ experience in a lead or supervisory role (preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of maintenance systems and workshop documentation processes.
  • Proven experience in equipment repair within relevant mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical disciplines.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and support team development.
  • Computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate and function test industrial and oilfield equipment.
  • Rigging and lifting experience.
  • Experience using engine or equipment diagnostic tools (e.g., Cat ET).
  • Training can be provided where required.
