Maintenance Engineer

Connect Appointments are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their client's Aberdeen team - a leading Scottish provider of high-quality textile and linen services.

• Working week of Monday to Friday
• Day shift hours with occasional weekends/evenings
• An annual salary of £42,500 per annum

This is a hands-on role where you ll keep production running smoothly, minimise downtime, and support continuous improvement across the site. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on all site equipment
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and ensure equipment reliability
• Use CMMS to maintain accurate records and analyse maintenance data
• Support root cause analysis and improvements to prevent recurring issues
• Work closely with production teams to maintain consistent performance
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety standards
• Flexibility to work weekends when needed

• To be successful in this Maintenance Engineer role, you will preferably have 5+ years mechanical and electrical engineering experience. Combined with the following skills, traits and experience:
• Recognised engineering qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent)
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience (industrial production or laundry experience advantageous)
• Confident using CMMS systems
• Proactive, hands-on, solution-oriented approach
• Strong communication skills and team player
• Driving licence essential
