Overview
Band 7 Physiotherapist In Medical Specialties – Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (Permanent post 18.5 hours). We are seeking to appoint a passionate, person centred and highly motivated clinician to lead the physiotherapy service to our medical specialties with Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, to cover for maternity leave.
The successful applicant will be joining a well-established, successful and friendly team, working alongside the other Band 7 Physiotherapist leading this team. We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and flexible in their approach, and is able to demonstrate excellent clinical leadership in the assessment and management of medical patients.
Responsibilities- Lead the physiotherapy service to medical specialties; work with a well-established, successful and friendly team.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical leadership in the assessment and management of medical patients.
- Collaborate to provide safe and effective care across a diverse range of patients across multiple specialty areas.
- Help facilitate early discharges and improve discharge profiles.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical teams on the wards and other professional groups and services across NHS Grampian.
- Play an integral role in assisting teams and colleagues to confidently apply the home first principles.
- Work alongside a newly developing service providing service to this patient group over 7 days a week, and collaborate to ensure delivery and embedding of change.
- Work well under pressure and challenge the multidisciplinary team in a constructive manner to ensure safe and appropriate patient care.
- Responsible for the line management and performance management of a team of staff.
- Contribute to out of hours services which may be respiratory and/or supporting the MUSC pathway; NHS Grampian is proactively working towards services over 7 days and this may change the out of hours commitments.
