Position: SP233215 - Rotational Occupational Therapist

Post Overview

We are delighted to advertise two full‑time Band 5 Rotational Occupational Therapy posts within our exciting and varied rotation. This post presents an innovative, enthusiastic therapist with the opportunity to gain experience within a rotation in the Acute Sector, and Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership.

Scope of the Rotation

The post will involve working closely with Senior Occupational Therapists and multi‑disciplinary/multi‑agency teams to assess and treat patients with a variety of conditions in a number of settings, both inpatient and community, throughout Aberdeen City.

Current rotations include:

  • Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics
  • Acute Stroke
  • Medical
  • Surgical
  • Critical Care
  • Oncology
  • Vascular
  • Orthopaedic Rehabilitation
  • Stroke Rehabilitation
  • Frailty assessment and rehabilitation
  • Community Rehabilitation
Professional Development Opportunities

Opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) are encouraged with regular supervision, preceptorship for newly qualified Occupational Therapists, in‑service training programme and access to Band 5 Support Group.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must be registered with HCPC, have a valid full UK drivers licence, and access to a car for work purposes.

Applications must be fully completed; partly completed applications will not be considered.

There may be a requirement in the future for weekend working or public holiday working to meet the service needs.

Interview Process

Interviews will involve a practical element and will be conducted in person only; we are unable to support any online interviews for this post.

Interview date – Thursday 12th February 2026
