Post Overview
We are delighted to advertise two full‑time Band 5 Rotational Occupational Therapy posts within our exciting and varied rotation. This post presents an innovative, enthusiastic therapist with the opportunity to gain experience within a rotation in the Acute Sector, and Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership.
Scope of the RotationThe post will involve working closely with Senior Occupational Therapists and multi‑disciplinary/multi‑agency teams to assess and treat patients with a variety of conditions in a number of settings, both inpatient and community, throughout Aberdeen City.
Current rotations include:
- Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics
- Acute Stroke
- Medical
- Surgical
- Critical Care
- Oncology
- Vascular
- Orthopaedic Rehabilitation
- Stroke Rehabilitation
- Frailty assessment and rehabilitation
- Community Rehabilitation
Opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) are encouraged with regular supervision, preceptorship for newly qualified Occupational Therapists, in‑service training programme and access to Band 5 Support Group.
Qualifications and RequirementsApplicants must be registered with HCPC, have a valid full UK drivers licence, and access to a car for work purposes.
Applications must be fully completed; partly completed applications will not be considered.
There may be a requirement in the future for weekend working or public holiday working to meet the service needs.
Interview ProcessInterviews will involve a practical element and will be conducted in person only; we are unable to support any online interviews for this post.
