Overview
ARE YOU looking for an exciting new challenge? Working in a dynamic team taking forward our primary care improvement agenda ensuring that the population have access to treatment and care in community settings and healthcare premises. If so, this is an exciting opportunity for motivated nurses to work within Primary Care Services across Aberdeenshire.
LocationThis post will be primarily based at Banchory Group Practice
, with one day per week allocated to Aboyne Health Centre
. However, flexibility is essential, as successful applicants may be required to provide cover in other locations across South Aberdeenshire, depending on service demands. All roles will be rostered in alignment with the operational needs of the service.
Candidates must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and willing to develop the service, whilst supporting and training our Health Care Support Worker team. Training and development opportunities are available for successful candidates.
Applicants will be expected to have a broad range of clinical skills i.e. venepuncture, ECG, wound management, leg assessment, compression, doppler and chronic disease monitoring. Excellent knowledge of infection control required.
Must be NMC registered and hold a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Working HoursThis is a full‑time position however part time hours will be considered for candidates who meet the requirements of the role.

Additional Information for CandidatesAs from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
