Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) Band 7 - 37 Hours per week - Fixed-term/ Secondment for 12 months Acute Medicine and Digital Care, ARI

The Opportunity:Dual Impact
This Band 7 role offers a dynamic scope of practice across two critical areas:
Acute Medicine of Unscheduled Care (AMIA/RAAC/DVT/GP LINE/103)- Elevating the quality of care and improving patient outcomes during their hospital stay.
- Providing crucial support to senior medical, trainee, and ANP staff to ensure seamless continuity and efficiency in service delivery.
- Contributing directly to the department's continued success and the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
You will be integral to our specialised 24/7 FNC team, pioneering the "Right Care, Right Place" model championed by the Scottish Government. Leveraging telephone and "Near Me" technology, your role involves:
- Conducting direct patient assessments to optimise case decisions.
- Significantly reducing unnecessary Accident & Emergency (A&E) presentations.
- Advising on the necessary course of action, including self-care, face-to-face review, specialist input, or same-day hospital assessment.
Who is an exceptional team player and autonomous practitioner with the following credentials:
- Essential
Qualifications:- Independent Non-Medical Prescribing (IP) – experienced; qualification isli>
- MSc or PgDip in Advanced Practice (MSc completion is expected).
- Experience: Extensive ANP/NP clinical experience, ideally spanning Acute Medicine, Emergency Care and/or Primary Care.
- Autonomous Practice: Demonstrated high standards of clinical care, confidence in making sound autonomous decisions, and excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
This hands‑on clinical role is perfectly suited for an individual motivated to reach their full potential within a stimulating environment. We actively support your growth and expect commitment to clinical skills progression. Training can be provided in advanced procedures such as Lumbar Punctures and Arterial Blood Gas sampling if of interest during this fixed‑term secondment post.
Furthermore, a keen interest in clinical audit, medicines management, and driving service redesign and expansion is essential, aligning with our commitment to continuous improvement.
