Band 6 Occupational Therapy – Aberdeen Royal Infirmary
We are recruiting to Occupational Therapy positions within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary & Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership. We have 3 rotational Band 6 Occupational Therapy posts, current vacancies are within our surgical and frailty assessment teams.
Responsibilities- Provide an innovative, enthusiastic approach, gaining experience within a rotation in the Acute Sector and Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership.
- Work closely with Senior Occupational Therapists and multi‑disciplinary/multi‑agency teams to assess and treat patients with a variety of conditions in a number of settings, both inpatient and community, throughout Aberdeen City.
- Participate in rotations including Trauma Orthopaedics, Acute Stroke, Surgical, Acute Neuro, Vascular, Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, Stroke Rehabilitation, Neuro rehab, Frailty assessment and rehabilitation.
- Offer support and continuous personal development (CPD) through regular supervision and in‑service opportunities.
- Provide 7‑day service cover, including weekends and public holidays, to meet service needs.
- Registered with the HCPC.
- Valid full UK Driver's Licence.
- Must complete the application fully; incomplete applications will not be considered.
Interviews will involve a practical element, therefore in‑person interviews only. Interviews planned for 4th February.

Additional InformationAs from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
