Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Sonographer to join our specialist fertility and IVF team on a part-time basis. This role is central to patient care, supporting individuals and couples through fertility assessment and treatment with professionalism, accuracy, and sensitivity.

You will be responsible for high-quality ultrasound scanning within a private hospital setting, with a particular focus on follicle tracking and treatment monitoring during assisted conception cycles.

• Transvaginal ultrasound scanning for follicle monitoring
• Baseline and mid-cycle scans
• Early pregnancy scans (where appropriate)
• Accurate measurement, documentation, and reporting
• Working closely with consultants, nurses, and embryology teams
• Providing patient-centred, sensitive care throughout treatment cycles
• Maintaining high clinical, safety, and infection-control standards

• Qualified Sonographer with recognised ultrasound training
• Proven experience infertility scanning and IVF follicle tracking
• Competence in transvaginal ultrasound
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, empathetic approach to patient care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in a private fertility or IVF clinic
• Early pregnancy scanning experience
• Flexibility to support weekend or early-morning clinics (where required)
