Position: B1.3 Engineer
Location: Aberdeen City

We are currently seeking an experienced B1.3 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join a leading aviation organisation supporting rotary aircraft operations in the UK
. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly professional engineering environment, maintaining helicopters that support critical offshore and search and rescue operations.

The Role

As a B1.3 Licensed Engineer
, you will be responsible for carrying out both line and base maintenance activities on rotary aircraft, ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with regulatory and company standards.

You will play a key role in maintaining aircraft reliability, safety and operational readiness while working closely with flight operations and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on helicopters and associated systems

Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and technical faults

  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Certifying aircraft and releasing aircraft to service (CRS) where authorised

Maintaining accurate technical records and documentation

Supporting the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance

  • Collaborating with operations teams to ensure efficient and safe aircraft operations
Aircraft Types

Engineers will have the opportunity to work on a range of modern rotary aircraft
, including:

Airbus H145

Airbus H175

Requirements

Previous experience within a rotary aviation maintenance environment

  • Strong technical knowledge of helicopter systems and maintenance procedures
  • Experience working in a regulated aviation engineering environment (Part-145)

Excellent attention to detail and strong commitment to safety

Ability to work both independently and within a team

Working Pattern

Flexible roster patterns are available, including equal-time shift options.

A typical roster pattern follows:

4 days on / 4 days off / 6 days on / 4 days off / 4 days on / 6 days off

Engineers work 11-hour shifts (including a 30-minute break). There may also be flexibility to discuss alternative roster patterns such as 14 days on / 14 days off or 7 days on / 7 days off depending on operational requirements.

Leave & Benefits

Engineers are rostered to work 1,911 duty hours per year and receive 206 hours of annual leave
, which is additional to their rostered time off.
