VP of R&D

At Rubberatkins, we take pride in engineering high‑performance elastomer and polymer solutions that stand up to the world’s toughest environments. We are looking for a VP of R&D to lead our technical innovation and drive the next generation of Rubberatkins products.

As a senior leader, you will set the direction for our R&D function, ensuring we continue to deliver robust, reliable, and innovative solutions for our customers. You’ll oversee product development from concept through testing and release, ensuring engineering excellence, safe design, and commercial value at every stage.

• Lead and develop the R&D team, ensuring strong performance, clear focus, and high technical standards.
• Drive innovation and expand the Rubberatkins product range.
• Oversee all R&D projects, ensuring delivery on time, on budget and to the highest quality.
• Provide engineering leadership including design calculations, FEA and technical documentation.
• Engage directly with customers from concept through to production.
• Work closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and test houses.
• Support Sales with technical input for quotations and presentations.
• Maintain robust project records and ensure all work meets Rubberatkins’ Health & Safety expectations.

You will bring senior R&D leadership experience from engineering, materials, or manufacturing. You will be hands‑on when needed, commercially aware, technically strong, and confident leading a team that values precision, integrity, and innovation.
