Skills & Responsibilities- Lead discipline‑focused tasks, liaising with technical colleagues and client representatives.
- Deliver on client deadlines to a high standard of accuracy and quality.
- Support bids by providing input into relevant technical areas.
- Provide front‑line support to client requests and issues.
- Prepare the Technical Document Register (TDR) and review the Basis of Design and other documents.
- Contribute discipline input to regular project reporting.
- Assist the Lead Electrical Engineer with technical bid evaluations.
- Review vendor documentation to ensure design conformance.
- Ensure compliance with Kent’s ISO quality procedures, Project Quality Plan, and Design Integrity processes.
- Comply with other Kent‑accredited frameworks such as ISO 14001.
- Interface with other disciplines to ensure integrated design.
- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered status with a relevant Engineering Institution.
- Proven experience in the relevant discipline area.
- Desirable: experience in an operational engineering support role.
- Familiarity with Oil & Gas industry client systems (e.g., JDE, SAP, Maximo, COABIS).
- Knowledge of power system studies, protection systems, electrical design and calculations.
- Understanding of technical documentation: SLDs, isometrics, P&IDs, hazardous area drawings, layout drawings, GA equipment registers.
- Experience developing work packs for site enactment.
- Experience reviewing and sentencing anomalies, including risk ranking and categorisation.
- Knowledge of inspection techniques (GVI/CVI, NDT, NII).
- Experience with industry codes and standards (ISO, BS, ASME, API).
- Excellent command of English (oral and written).
- Self‑motivated and comfortable taking responsibility across tasks.
- High attention to detail.
- Team player.
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Organised and methodical approach to project work.
