Graduate Geotechnical Engineer
Location:
Aberdeen
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000
Are you looking to begin your career with a specialist geotechnical consultancy known for delivering high-quality ground engineering solutions?
Are you keen to develop your technical skills while working on a variety of challenging projects across the infrastructure, energy, and marine sectors?
An established geotechnical consultancy in Aberdeen is seeking a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team. You will work closely with experienced engineers and geologists, gaining hands-on experience across both site and office-based activities, with excellent support and mentoring throughout your development.
As a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer, your role will include:
Assisting with Phase 1 and Phase 2 ground investigations
Supporting site supervision and coordinating ground investigation activities
Logging soil and rock samples and reviewing laboratory and in-situ test data
Contributing to factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
Assisting with geohazard assessments and ground risk evaluations
Providing technical support to project teams and liaising with clients under supervision
You will benefit from a structured training programme and clear development pathway, with support towards professional accreditation.

Essential Criteria :
Degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline
Based in, or able to commute to, Aberdeen
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Enthusiastic, proactive attitude with a desire to learn
Full UK driving licence (or working towards one)
