Role overviewThe Subsea Tooling Manager will take responsibility for the technical and commercial performance of the tooling product range, ensuring engineering excellence, cost efficiency, and strategic growth.
Responsibilities- Lead design, development, and integration of subsea tooling products.
- Oversee tooling engineers and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in performance, reliability, and innovation.
- Own pricing models, budgeting, and cost control.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for customer RFQs.
- Develop short‑term revenue plans and long‑term growth strategies.
- Identify market trends and opportunities for new product development.
- Coordinate delivery of tooling products to meet customer expectations.
- Champion safety and quality standards across all activities.
- Proven experience in subsea tooling, ROV systems, or subsea engineering (7+ years).
- Strong technical leadership and commercial Cinderella.
- Background in design/build environments and offshore energy standards (API, ISO, IMCA).
- Ability to manage teams, vendors, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Degree in Mechanical, Marine, or related engineering discipline.
- Competitive base salary plus car allowance, bonus, and pension.
- Travel fully expensed (North Yorkshire manufacturing site, Newcastle engineering team, and customer visits).
