Job DescriptionROV Supervisor – Aberdeen (Boskalis Subsea Services)
You will play a vital leadership role in delivering complex, high‑value offshore projects across the energy and renewables sectors. You will operate advanced Saab Seaeye and Kystdesign ROV systems, overseeing the safe, efficient, and technically sound execution of all ROV operations offshore.
Your day‑to‑day responsibilities программ include:
- Providing supervision of an ROV crew (including ROV pilots and technicians).
- Briefing, coordinating, and supporting crew to deliver subsea tasks to the highest safety and technical standards.
- Maintaining full oversight of equipment status, system readiness, and compliance with safety and quality procedures.
- Acting as the primary offshore liaison between the ROV team, vessel leadership, and client representatives.
- Ensuring compliance with Boskalis QHSE policies, project procedures and IMCA guidelines.
- Conducting pre‑dive checks, toolbox talks and risk assessments to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Monitoring ROV system performance, performing fault detection,roker and coordinating repairs with offshore and onshore support.
- Maintaining accurate operational documentation, including dive logs, technical reports, defect records, and maintenance logs.
- Oversee the safe and effective operation of Saab Seaeye and Kystdesign ROV systems-estar across all phases of offshore work.
- Lead the ROV team, ensuring all personnel are briefed, supervised, and supported in delivering operational tasks to the highest standards of safety and technical quality.
- Act as the primary offshore point of contact for all ROV‑related activity, maintaining clear communication with the Offshore Construction Manager, vessel crew and client representatives.
- embuary full compliance with Boskalis Subsea Services QHSE policies, project‑specific procedures, and applicable IMCA guidelines and recommended practices.
- Conduct and lead pre-dive checks, toolbox talks, and risk assessments, promoting a proactive safety culture and operational readiness.
- Monitor ROV system performance, ensuring early fault detection, effective troubleshooting, and coordination of repairs with the offshore team and onshore support as needed.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation, including dive logs, technical reports, defect records, planned maintenance logs, and asset utilisation tracking.
- A minimum of 540 days offshore in ROV – CV with logged piloting hours demonstrable on IMCA ROV Logbook.
- Prior multi‑disciplinary project experience – logged piloting, fault‑finding, and team leadership with Saab карточи or Kystdesign systems preferred.
- Valid and current IMCA Company Member Competence Certificate or validated IMCA Competence Portfolio supporting all ROV Senior Pilot Technician (R02) competencies.
- Recognised technical qualification in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or hydraulic disciplines (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC, military trade or equivalent).
- Experience with simulator‑based training or ROC operations is a plus.
- Previously involved in incident investigations, technical reviews, or debriefs related to ROV system performance.
