You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of our SSEN offices or depots in Scotland including but not limited to - Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow or Perth.

Salary: £42,600 - £64,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract | Full Time | Flexible First options available

You will lead our work facilitating the views and input of our key stakeholders to ensure we co-create a Net Zero transition that works for our communities. Pivotal to this is the need to build and maintain strong relationships with key regional stakeholders such as local authorities. In addition, you will act as a champion for whole system thinking promoting approaches across the DSO business.

You will
  • Develop and drive a clear stakeholder engagement strategy to ensure that the Whole Systems Team is delivering activities that are flexible enough to meet the needs of our internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, providing a single point of contact for enquiries relating to Whole Systems.
  • Plan and manage Whole System stakeholder activities including webinars, conferences, roundtable discussions and other events that help us build these relationships.
  • Produce and develop internal and external communications that promote the need for whole system approaches and showcase the work undertaken to facilitate the transition to Net Zero
  • Work closely with the strategic development engineers to develop and deliver whole system outputs to a wide internal and external audience.
You have
  • Energy sector experience, or experience working with local authorities / local stakeholders.
  • Awareness of Net Zero and local decarbonisation strategies.
  • Sound understanding of principles of stakeholder engagement and the ability to develop strong relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Strong presentational, oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in leading complex and ambiguous work.
