PDI Engineer / Generator Service & Maintenance Technician – Bristol

We are looking for an experienced PDI Engineer to join a busy generator service and maintenance team in Bristol. This role offers hands‑on work with hire fleet generators and customer equipment, including fault‑finding, breakdown repairs, and on‑site support.

• Service, maintain, and repair hire fleet generators and ancillary equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair generator faults, both in‑depot and on customer sites.
• Assist with synchronising generators for set‑to‑set and set‑to‑mains applications.
• Deliver, collect, load, and offload generators and equipment safely.
• Operate forklifts in the yard and maintain a tidy workshop environment.
• Assist customers with on‑site equipment setup, including running cables.
• Conduct site surveys and provide technical support for special projects.
• Participate in a 1‑in‑4 on‑call rota.
• Maintain health & safety compliance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong generator knowledge with proven fault‑finding abilities.
• Mechanical or electrical background essential.
• Full UK driving licence (towing categories preferred).
• Forklift licence desirable (training can be provided).
• Strong communication skills with a customer‑focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CSCS/ECS card preferred (training can be provided).
