Instrument Technician

Overview

Instrument Technician BW Catcher – Permanent. We are hiring for Instrument Technician to join our UK Operations offshore maintenance team on Catcher FPSO. This role will report to the Maintenance Superintendent. BW Offshore leverages more than four decades of experience in operating advanced offshore production systems and executing complex projects. • Perform instrument and Control System maintenance
• Perform maintenance of Information Technology, communication and navigation systems
• Control calibration appliances and test instruments
• Assist in fault finding and troubleshooting of shutdowns
• Responsible for concise daily work logs
• Maintain Ex rating of instrument equipment as per design
• Maintain a good working environment in all working areas and ensure good housekeeping and safe working conditions
• Use IFS Maintenance Management System to generate work orders
• Use the Permit To Work system, prepare permits
• Liaise with other departments for coordination of maintenance activities

• 3 years’ experience in a similar position with process plant operations
• Substantial Oil and Gas experience may be used as a substitute for formal qualifications
• Conversant in fault-finding, measuring and testing of instrumentation
• Experience with Control Systems
• Flexible, reliable and honesty are important factors
