Located in Broomfield, Colorado, Prospect Ridge Academy is a K–12 public charter school known for academic excellence, character education, and a strong sense of community. PRA provides a comprehensive, college-preparatory curriculum that supports the development of the whole student.

Prospect Ridge Academy is seeking enthusiastic and motivated student teachers who are currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program. This position provides future educators with the opportunity to gain valuable hands‑on experience in a classroom setting, working under the direct supervision and mentorship of a certified teacher. The student teacher will support the implementation of effective instructional strategies, contribute to classroom management, and participate in school-wide activities and professional development.

• Work collaboratively with a mentor teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state and school standards.
• Assist in designing and modifying instructional materials to meet diverse student needs.
• Support classroom management strategies to create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Assess student understanding through informal and formal measures and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Reflect on teaching practices and participate in regular feedback and evaluation sessions.
• Attend staff meetings, parent conferences, and school events as appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited teacher preparation program.
• Approved by your college/university and PRA to complete a student teaching placement.
• Demonstrated interest in teaching and working with children and adolescents.
