DurationPermanent, Full Time
Roles requiring PVG MembershipFrom 1 April 2023, roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above will require PVG membership. The Council will initially pay the membership cost of £18 for existing members or £59 for non-members, deducted from the first month’s salary.
AboutThe Role
To deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute to the professional, corporate life of the school in relation to pupils, staff and appropriate external bodies within the agreements of the SNCT.
Minimum Qualifications- Appropriate teaching qualification
- Full GTC (Scotland) registration in the appropriate subject/sector, or eligibility for registration
- PVG scheme membership – Working with Children
- Standard for Full Registration (see link)
- Understanding of the General Teaching Council for Scotland Standard for Registration and Standard for Career Long Professional Learning
- Code of Conduct and Scheme of Professional Update
- Continued personal and professional development in line with GTCS expectations, Code of Conduct and Scheme of Professional Update
- Principles and aims of Aberdeen City Council
- Completion of mandatory training courses and role specific training
