Current Opportunities:
Veterinary Lecturer positions are available in the following clinical areas:
Equine Clinical Practice Veterinary Surgery Anaesthesia and Analgesia Candidates will have extensive knowledge of the specified clinical subject areas to support veterinary teaching through lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practical classes. We are particularly interested in individuals with additional qualifications such as CertAVP, who have a keen interest in helping design and develop teaching alongside other subject experts. Your background should be primarily in first opinion practice to support the School's mission.

While it is not essential to have extensive experience across all domestic species, a willingness to design and deliver teaching with multiple species in mind is important. In this role, you will develop and deliver high-quality teaching and scholarly outcomes as a member of the wider veterinary medicine teaching and research team. The successful candidate will be based at SRUC's Aberdeen Campus, contributing to a vibrant academic community committed to innovation and impact.

It is expected that lecturers will have experience of scholarly and stakeholder/sector engagement activities evidenced through impactful publications and other outputs. For full person specification please download the job particulars before you apply for the role.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a veterinary degree and be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) or possess a degree that is eligible for RCVS registration. Please note that appointment as a Veterinary Lecturer is contingent upon RCVS membership. Candidates who are not currently registered must be willing to undertake the RCVS Statutory Examination to achieve registration.
