Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are looking for two part time youth music workers who will support young people to discover and develop their creative confidence and potential.

Hot Chocolate Trust is an innovative and inclusive youth work charity in Dundee city centre.

Engaging with approximately 400 YP each year, aged 12‑25, we blend responsive, whole‑person youth work with specialist resourcing and opportunities (e.g., creative arts, mental health and wellbeing, education and employment, activism) to maximise YP’s participation, agency and responsibility. Flexible, relationship‑based approaches support YP whose lives are unpredictable, even chaotic, and who are often wary of professionals and programmes.

The successful candidates will work together to deliver our brand‑new Beautiful Noise project, a programme of inclusive, co‑designed music‑making opportunities for YP aged 12‑21 in Dundee.

Through drop‑in youth work, co‑created small groups, individual support and bookable sessions you will support young people to experiment, play and develop their confidence in music – overcoming barriers to cultural participation, discovering and developing their musical potential, and taking tangible steps towards creative, personal and professional growth.

  • The post is 14 hours per week, including evening work, with a contract until 31 December 2026, at a full‑time equivalent salary (based on 35 hours per week) between £26,162pa and £27,398pa depending on experience.
  • Apply by sending your 2‑page CV and application form to  before noon on Monday 16th March 2026. Guidance around applying, subsequent stages of the application process and background information are available in the Job Pack.
  • Please note that appointment will be subject to PVG Scheme membership as a regulated role with children.
