Commercial Project Manager (Financial) – Siemens Energy
About the RoleJoin our dynamic team at Siemens Energy, where you will play a pivotal role in our Steam Turbine and Generator business in the United Kingdom. As a Commercial (Financial) Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with project managers to ensure financial project planning and execution are optimised for success. You will take charge of all commercial and finance‑related matters, ensuring that our projects not only meet but exceed financial expectations while adhering to industry standards.
HowYou’ll Make An Impact
- You will support the Project Manager in managing and optimising targeted financial results with due professional care.
- You will take full responsibility for all commercial and finance-related matters, including Accounting, Legal, Tax and Foreign Exchange.
- You will ensure accurate methodologies for identifying, evaluating and assessing risks and opportunities, along with strategies for mitigation.
- You will oversee the accuracy of cost and pricing calculations, ensuring all project financials are recorded in systems such as SAP.
- You will prepare commercial documentation for regular project status meetings, ensuring the accuracy of project financials and compliance with IFRS
15 and local GAAP requirements.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or possess equivalent experience.
- You have at least 3 years of relevant experience as a commercial project manager.
- You possess well-founded knowledge in project controlling and reporting, including corresponding standards and processes.
- You are an experienced user of Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
- You have strong critical thinking, problem-solving and efficient communication skills, with a customer‑focused, results-oriented mindset.
