The Defence Division provides underwater systems and life support capabilities, for the defence and commercial diving markets.
The role forms part of the Commercial Diving and Hyperbaric team, responsible for ensuring that new sales orders are being seamlessly delivered to our customers in accordance with the agreed schedule. The position will act as the prime contact with our commercial customers and internal stakeholders, monitoring, updating, and tracking orders and dashboards and KPIs.
Principal Responsibilities- Managing and maintaining customer relationships, providing updates on delivery and logistics.
- Ensure orders are delivered on time.
- Manage the operations team, ensuring accurate, focused delivery of goods and services.
- Ensure weekly/monthly order dashboards are updated and circulated on time.
- Ensure all shipments are invoiced and shipped efficiently.
- Timely reporting to clients of order updates.
- Maintenance of order books and records.
- Managing and maintaining export/licence records in compliance with export controls.
- Liaison with all internal support departments to ensure key information to customers’ orders is updated and communicated.
- Responsible for the prompt response and compliance to customer requirements.
- Responsible for compliance to policies, procedures and processes.
- Demonstrable experience with customer relationships.
- Previous business systems knowledge.
- Experience of planning detail and structure.
- Previous experience in leading a team.
- UK and International logistics/export compliance.
- HRMC and DGM exposure.
You will need good verbal and written communication skills and be able to prioritise work tasks and activities effectively. Excellent customer interface and management skills with proficiency in critical time management.
