We currently have opportunities available at our Aberdeen Plant for Electronic Assemblers on the following shifts:
Position Summary
Electronic Assemblers are responsible for assembling electronic systems and support structures through the use of a soldering iron or other hand tools to install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings.
This position reports to the Production Manager
According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:
- Non-Exempt
What You'll Be Doing
- Assemble subassemblies and/or final product following instructions from matrix documentation and SOPs.
- Place, wire, solder, and utilize hot soldering iron to connect and encapsulate PC boards and/or units.
- Test, label, package, and deliver to stockroom.
- Adjust, repair, or replace electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Read and interpret drawings, work orders, and reports in order to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
- Position, align, and adjust work pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.
- Complete, review, and maintain production, time, and component waste reports.
- May confer with supervisors or engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems.
- May explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.

Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of basic math/calculation's
- Must be able to read and understand English.
- Ability to use a computer, hand tools, gauges and testers.
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting.

- Sit for up to 8 hours per day
- Exposed to a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day
- Utilize a computer mouse, keyboard, computer, and other standard office equipment
- Required to talk or hear frequently
- Hand solder with hot soldering iron, inspect boards under a microscope, make simple repairs, etc.
- Bends neck to use scope for precision work and perform inspections.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel to complete tasks.
- Simple hand grasp needed to convey parts and hold tools; dexterity required to solder, encapsulate, correct defects, etc.
- Occasionally move, carry, or lift objects or materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Frequently required to talk and/or hear
- Exposed to a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day
- Utilize a computer mouse, keyboard, computer, and other standard office equipment
- Ability to focus on fine details and distinguish between colors as required for detailed tasks
Work Environment
Moderate noise level in the work environment. Manufacturing environment – indoor and climate controlled.
